Why one app
Every use case lives on a time horizon.
A notes app covers the moment. A habit tracker covers the week. A planner covers the year. Clarivio covers all of them and connects them, so what you write tonight can change the plan for next year.
A podcast asks what struck you. A place asks: why this place? Your answer becomes your own entry and comes back when it’s useful: when you ask, in your weekly recap, before the meeting.
Your tasks stay in Reminders, your meetings in Calendar, your people in Contacts, your body in Health. Clarivio reads what it needs, writes only where you ask, and adds the thinking that connects them.
Calendar
Reads and writes
Today’s events in the morning briefing, tomorrow’s in the evening.
The next meeting with your last note from that series, and meetings you haven’t written up.
Writes only on purpose: a time block for a goal, a “Catch up with…” event.
Reminders
Reads and writes
What’s due today, in the briefing: complete it, move it to tomorrow, edit it.
Actions found in your notes wait as suggestions: add them to Reminders or let them go.
Decision reviews, next steps and birthdays become reminders when you ask.
Contacts
Reads with permission
Link a person by picking the contact: name, photo, birthday, company.
Call, FaceTime, Message or Email from the person’s page; you send.
No address-book import: with access, names are matched against your contacts on your device, and Clarivio links only the people you pick.
And the rest of your Apple apps

Most productivity apps treat your life like a dashboard to maximize. They show you more data, more notifications, more streaks. They reward noise and call it engagement.
Clarivio works the other way. It starts from the premise that attention is finite, that life accumulates faster than memory holds it, and that the right response to complexity is not more software — it’s better structure.
Built as a native Apple app with on-device AI, Clarivio reads across your journal, your captured thoughts, your calendar, your habits, your people and your body — and surfaces what matters when it matters. Your health trend. Your growth gap. The pattern you hadn’t noticed.
From the Latin clarus vivo — to live clearly. Four syllables. One promise.
Privacy
Your life, yours alone.
Calm is a feature, not a concession. So is privacy. Clarivio runs on your device, with your data, for your eyes. That’s the whole architecture. And Clarivio is localized in ten languages, designed for clarity in every one.
On-device
Your entries, health data and people stay on your device and in your own iCloud. We run no server that stores your app data and have no access to it, so there is none of it on our side that could leak.
No tracking
Inside the app: no advertising, no cross-app tracking, no model training on your journal. What’s yours stays with you.
Apple Intelligence
Clarivio’s AI runs on-device using Apple Intelligence. Your patterns, your reflections, your private language — Clarivio never hands them to a cloud AI. If you use Apple’s Writing Tools or Image Playground, Apple’s privacy rules apply. Where Apple Intelligence does not write your language yet, those parts fall back to fixed templates and everything else works the same.
What we can see
App Store totals from Apple: downloads and updates, and — only from people who share analytics with app developers — installs, deletions and how many devices opened the app. You can turn that sharing off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
Purchase totals: how many subscriptions and lifetime purchases were made, renewed or refunded. Apple handles every payment — we see counts, never names.
Crash and performance reports through Apple, anonymized and without any identifier for you — again only from people who share analytics.
Website page views from Cloudflare Web Analytics: which pages are read, from which country, region and city (approximate — your IP address is not kept) and which referring page — no cookies, no profile, totals only.
What you send us yourself: an email or a contact-form message, and any usage report or support request you choose to send from the app.
What we cannot see
Which features you use, for how long, how often and at what time of day — unless you send us a usage report, which shows how often you opened each area and on which days of the week.
What you write, what you search for, what your health data says, who is in your network.
Anything that identifies you, unless you write to us. There is no telemetry event in this app — and no server of ours to receive one.
Your device does count, for you, how often you open each area. Those numbers stay local, are deleted after 90 days, and are visible in full in Settings. You can send them to us — after you’ve read them.
Honest pricing · No lock-in
$12.99/mo · $89.99/yr
New to the yearly plan? Your first month is free. After that, it renews at $89.99 a year until you cancel. Cancel in your Apple Account settings at least 24 hours before the free month ends, and you pay nothing. The yearly plan costs around 42% less than paying monthly. No freemium guilt. No ads, ever.
● Lifetime · Founding Member
$179lifetime
One payment. No subscription — yours for as long as Clarivio is offered. The founding price holds through January 31, 2027. After that, it rises.
● Free month on yearly
● Cancel anytime
● iPhone · iPad · Mac · Apple Watch
AI-written parts need a device with Apple Intelligence — without it, Clarivio uses fixed templates, and Ask Clarivio answers from search.
Prices are shown in euros in the euro area, including VAT, and in US dollars elsewhere. The App Store shows the price for your country, in its currency, before you buy — that price applies.

Built in Munich
An independent practice.
Clarivio is built for people who suspect their lives are more than the sum of their notifications. There is no growth team, no board, no pressure to add a leaderboard.
The product is what matters. The next version matters. Your trust matters. Everything else is noise.
Clarivio is on the App Store, for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.

Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy informs you about the nature, scope, and purpose of personal data processing on this website and in the Clarivio app on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) via Cloudflare Pages. When you visit this website, your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and timestamp are automatically transmitted to Cloudflare servers and stored in server log files.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in the secure and efficient operation of this website. Retention: We cannot see these logs ourselves. As our processor, Cloudflare keeps them only as long as is needed to deliver and secure this website and then deletes them (Cloudflare privacy policy, section 11, “Data Retention”). Transfer to third countries: Cloudflare is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), ensuring an adequate level of protection. Details: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. A data processing agreement (DPA) per Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
Prices and language: To show prices in euros in the euro area and in US dollars elsewhere, the server derives your country from your IP address for each page request; the country is used only to build that page and is not stored. When you open clarivio.app without a language in the address, the server picks the language from your language cookie (§4) or from the languages your browser asks for. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in showing the website in your language and prices in the right currency.
Network error reports: Cloudflare asks your browser to report failed connections to this website — the address of the page, the referring page, your browser type, the server address, the type of error and its timing — to Cloudflare (a.nel.cloudflare.com), so that outages can be detected. Your browser keeps this instruction for up to seven days; successful page views are not reported. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in a reliably reachable website.
3. Fonts
The fonts on this website are served by this website itself, through the hosting described in §2. No font service is contacted, and no data is sent to a third party to display them.
4. Cookies and analytics
This website sets no non-essential cookies and does no tracking. To know which pages are read, it counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., the host named in §2. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and creates no profile of you; Cloudflare states that it does not identify or “fingerprint” visitors by their IP address, browser or any other data. Cloudflare processes the visit (the page, the referring page, the country, the browser and device type, and how fast the page loaded) on our behalf under the data processing agreement named in §2, and shows us totals only. In addition, this website’s own code at Cloudflare counts each page read by the approximate country, region and city that Cloudflare derives from your IP address, together with the page’s address, in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine; your IP address itself is not stored, nothing else is recorded with it, and we see totals only, kept for three months. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in knowing where the readers of this website come from. Beyond that, this website processes only what §2 (server logs, prices and language, network error reports), §3 (fonts) and this section (two preference cookies) describe, and — only if you use it — the contact form described in §6.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in knowing which pages of this website are read. Links to the App Store carry a campaign name (for example ct=web-en-hero), so that Apple can tell us, in aggregate, how many downloads came from this website. The name is part of the link you open; this website sends nothing to Apple for it.
Two preference cookies: If you choose a language or a currency on this website, your choice is stored in a cookie on your device — clarivio_locale (the language, for example “de”) or clarivio_currency (“EUR” or “USD”) — for one year, so that the next pages open in that language and currency. They contain nothing else, are read only by this website and are set only when you make that choice; they are strictly necessary for the setting you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete them in your browser at any time.
Should this website ever place non-essential cookies, this Privacy Policy will be updated first and your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) will be requested via a cookie banner before any is set.
5. The Clarivio app — data processing
Where your data lives: Clarivio stores your app data (journal entries, ratings, goals, habits, people, preferences) on your device and — if iCloud sync is on, which is the default (Settings › iCloud Sync) — in your own private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit), so that it is the same on all your devices. We operate no servers that store, access, or process your app data, and we have no access to your iCloud data. Recordings, attachments, notebook files and exports are also kept as files in the Clarivio folder of your iCloud Drive, which you can see in the Files app.
iCloud encryption: Everything Clarivio syncs is encrypted in transit and on Apple’s servers. Turn on Advanced Data Protection in your iCloud settings, and every entry, rating and file becomes end-to-end encrypted — only your devices hold the key. Without Advanced Data Protection, Apple holds the keys to your iCloud data and can decrypt it when legally compelled (support.apple.com/102651); we strongly recommend turning it on. Apple may store iCloud data in data centers in the United States; Apple is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and Apple’s iCloud Terms include Standard Contractual Clauses. iCloud is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy (apple.com/legal/privacy).
Apple Health (HealthKit): With your permission, Clarivio reads health data from Apple Health to show it in the app and to add context to your journal. Clarivio keeps its record of your Apple Health data on your device. Only summaries sync — long-term averages and the day’s figures saved with an entry — encrypted like everything else Clarivio syncs. With Advanced Data Protection on, those summaries are end-to-end encrypted too. Whether new entries carry the day’s figures is up to you: Settings › Writing & Capture › Context › Health & Activity. Health data is never shared with third parties or used for advertising.
Writing to Apple Health: If you allow it in the Apple Health permission sheet, Clarivio saves two kinds of entries there: a mindfulness session when you complete a breathing exercise in the app, and a State of Mind entry when you log your mood in the Morning Check-In or the Evening Reflection. Those entries then belong to Apple Health and stay there under your control.
Calendar & Reminders: With your permission, Clarivio reads your calendars and reminders on your device, for the daily briefing and to put your entries in context. When an entry is linked to a calendar event — automatically, when you capture something during or shortly after an event, or by you — the event’s title, time and calendar name are saved with that entry and sync with it, encrypted like everything else Clarivio syncs. Events and reminders you create in Clarivio are saved to Apple Calendar and Reminders, where they stay under your control.
Weather data (WeatherKit): Clarivio uses Apple’s WeatherKit to show weather, sunrise, sunset, UV index and daylight hours in the Morning Briefing and the Day Review. If you allow Clarivio to use your location, it asks Apple’s WeatherKit for the weather where you are. Your coordinates are sent to Apple for that request. Apple requires apps that show its weather data to show the Apple Weather mark and a link to Apple’s list of weather data sources; Clarivio downloads that mark from Apple’s WeatherKit server when its copy on your device is missing or more than a week old, and only while weather is on screen. The download carries no location and no account or device identifier. All of this traffic ends at Apple; no third party is involved.
Location: When enabled, Clarivio records your current location alongside journal entries so you can review places visited and name frequent locations. Location data is stored on your device and, if sync is on, in your own iCloud; it is never shared with third parties, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings. To show place names, Clarivio asks Apple Maps to turn coordinates — your current location, or the location saved in a photo you add to Clarivio — into a place name; that request goes to Apple as well.
Camera & Photo Library: With your permission, Clarivio uses the camera and photo library to attach images and document scans to journal entries. Images are stored on your device and, if sync is on, in your own iCloud; they are never transmitted to third parties.
Contacts: With your permission, Clarivio reads your Apple Contacts on your device to recognize the people you write about. When you link a person in Clarivio to one of your contacts — Clarivio links a contact only when you pick it — that contact’s name, photo, phone numbers, email and postal addresses, birthday, organization, job title, websites and social profiles are saved with the person in Clarivio and sync with your journal data through your own iCloud, encrypted like everything else Clarivio syncs. Your address book as a whole is never uploaded. If you switch on Apple Contacts sync in Clarivio, edits you make to a linked person are also written back to that contact in Apple Contacts; it is off unless you turn it on.
Microphone & Speech Recognition: Clarivio captures voice notes using on-device speech recognition (Apple’s requiresOnDeviceRecognition flag is enforced in code). Audio is transcribed locally; no audio file is sent to Apple’s cloud transcription service. Transcribed text is stored on your device and, if sync is on, in your own iCloud.
Face ID & PIN: You can lock Clarivio with Face ID, Touch ID or a PIN — your journal and notebooks included. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS; Clarivio receives only a success or failure result. Your PIN is stored as a salted, PBKDF2-derived key in the iOS Keychain, never in plain text.
Journaling Suggestions: With your permission, Clarivio reads Apple’s Journaling Suggestions to surface contextual prompts based on activities, photos and locations already on your device. Suggestions are processed on-device and used only to generate journal prompts.
Screen Time: If you turn on the Screen Time card, iOS shows your own Screen Time total next to your day in Clarivio, through Apple’s Screen Time report extension. That extension runs in Apple’s isolated sandbox without network access; the number is displayed there only, and the Clarivio app itself cannot read, store or send it.
On-device AI (Apple Intelligence): Clarivio’s AI features (Ask Clarivio, insights, correlations, summaries) run entirely on your device. Clarivio sends no personal data or journal content to external AI services or cloud language models.
Apple’s Writing Tools: In text fields, iOS offers Apple’s Writing Tools (for example proofreading, rewriting or summarizing). They are part of iOS, not of Clarivio, and run only when you start them. Apple runs them on your device or, for some requests, in Apple’s Private Cloud Compute: your text is used only to answer that request, nothing is kept afterwards, Apple’s own staff cannot access it, and Apple publishes the server software so that independent researchers can check these promises. Text goes to ChatGPT only if you have turned on Apple’s ChatGPT extension and confirm the request. Apple’s privacy policy applies to these tools.
Apple’s Image Playground: “Illustrate this entry” opens Apple’s Image Playground with the first sentence of your entry, shortened if it is long, as its starting idea. Image Playground is part of iOS, not of Clarivio. Apple’s own styles create the picture on your device; if you choose a ChatGPT style, your description goes to ChatGPT only after you have connected Apple’s ChatGPT extension and confirmed the request. The picture is then saved with your entry like any photo. Apple’s privacy policy applies.
Links and podcasts you share: When you share something into Clarivio — a link or a podcast episode — Clarivio fetches the details it needs to show you a useful card. Apart from Apple’s own services, these five lookups are the only requests Clarivio makes over the network:
— Apple iTunes Lookup API (itunes.apple.com) — resolves a shared podcast URL into the show’s metadata and the address of its RSS feed.
— The podcast’s own RSS feed — fetches the full show notes for the episode you shared.
— The episode artwork referenced by that feed — for the preview image on the card.
— A link preview for any shared URL (title, description, preview image), via Apple’s LinkPresentation framework. Apple’s API runs on your device, but the request it makes goes out to the address you shared. For a shared AI chat, a TikTok, Instagram or LinkedIn post, or a Google Maps link, the share sheet also opens that public page the way a browser shows it, to keep its title and text; a banner on the card shows while it runs. It carries no login, so a private chat stays private. If you share from Safari, the page you have open is read in Safari itself, and Clarivio requests nothing.
— The page behind a link you save with the “Save URL to Clarivio” shortcut — only to read its title.
These requests carry the address you shared and nothing else from Clarivio — no account identifier (Clarivio has no accounts) and no device identifier. Like any web request, each one shows the site that answers it your device’s IP address. They happen only for things you shared into Clarivio yourself. You can switch all five off: Settings › Privacy & Security › Link & podcast lookups. With them off, shared content is still saved — it simply keeps the address you gave it instead of the fetched title, show notes or preview image.
A daily switch list: Once a day, Clarivio also reads a short list of switches from the public part of its own iCloud container at Apple — for example, to pause the background clean-up of unused data on all devices should an update misbehave. The request carries no personal data, and nothing is written back.
App Store & purchases: All subscription purchases are processed by Apple Inc. via the App Store. We do not receive or process any payment data.
App analytics: Clarivio uses no third-party analytics SDKs and no telemetry of its own. Through Apple’s App Store Connect we receive the statistics Apple provides to every developer: download and update counts and — only from users who share analytics with app developers — figures on installs, deletions, sessions and retention, plus crash and performance reports. You can stop that sharing at any time in the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad: Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements › Share With App Developers. Installs, sessions and retention reach us only as totals; crash and performance reports reach us as individual, anonymized reports (technical data such as the stack trace, device model and iOS version), without any identifier for you.
On-device usage count: The app counts, on your device, how often you open each of its main areas (area name and calendar day — no time of day, no content). These counts are kept only in the local analytics database on your device, are not synced with iCloud, are deleted automatically after 90 days, and are shown in full in the app under Settings › Your usage. They are not transmitted. From there you can choose to send us a usage report by email: it contains these counts (per area and per weekday) and the same technical details as a support file (app version, iOS version, device type, language and region); you see its full text first, and it is sent from your own email program — so we also receive your email address. Legal basis in that case: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent, given by sending it, which you can withdraw at any time (§8).
Diagnostics and support: If you turn on the “Record diagnostics” switch, iOS (MetricKit) saves crash and performance reports on your device; nothing is sent automatically. If you tap Contact Support, Clarivio attaches these reports and a small file with the app version and build, the iOS version, the device type (iPhone or iPad), your language and region, and the app’s data-store version to an email draft to [email protected], which you send — or not — from your own email program. If you chose “Share a Diagnostic” after a crash, the attachment also contains a short excerpt of the app’s own technical log from the 15 minutes before you tapped it (sync, performance, widget and cache messages only, with private values redacted). It contains no journal content and no account or device identifier. We use it only to fix the problem you report and handle it like any email you send us (§6). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in fixing faults.
6. Contact and email
If you email us, or write to us with the contact form on the Imprint page, the data you provide (name, email address, message) will be processed solely for the purpose of handling your inquiry. Email for clarivio.app addresses is hosted by Proton AG, so your message is received and stored in our mailbox there (proton.me/legal/privacy). Proton AG is based in Switzerland, which the European Commission recognizes as providing an adequate level of data protection (Art. 45 GDPR). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — pre-contractual measures, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in responding to inquiries. Retention: We keep emails, contact-form messages, usage reports and support emails, including their attachments, for 12 months after our last exchange and then delete them, unless statutory retention obligations require us to keep them longer (for example for business correspondence under § 147 of the German Fiscal Code (AO) or § 257 of the German Commercial Code (HGB), where these apply).
Contact form: What you send with the form is not stored on this website. Cloudflare (§2) processes it on our behalf as our processor: its servers check your entries and send them as an email over an encrypted connection (SMTP with STARTTLS) directly to our mailbox at Proton AG. From there on, your message is handled like an email you sent us directly. The email contains your name, your email address (as the reply address), your message and the language of the form page — nothing else. To keep the form from being used to flood our mailbox, the Cloudflare server that handles your request counts how many messages came from your IP address in the last 10 minutes; it keeps that count only in its working memory and writes it neither to disk nor into the email. Legal basis for that count: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in protecting the form against abuse.
7. Data deletion
Since your app data lives on your device and in your iCloud, you retain full control at all times. In Clarivio, Settings › Delete all data erases it on the device and in iCloud; Apple may keep small, unreadable bookkeeping residues for up to 30 days while the deletion completes. Deleting only the app removes the data on your device, while the iCloud copy stays in your iCloud account until you remove it in your iCloud storage settings. What Clarivio saved to Apple’s own apps — Apple Health, Calendar, Reminders and, if you turned on Apple Contacts sync, Contacts — stays there under your control. We are unable to recover your data as we have never had access to it.
8. Your rights under the GDPR
To the extent we process your personal data (the website data in §§ 2–4, emails and contact-form messages, and the usage reports and support emails you choose to send us), you have the following rights:
Right of access (Art. 15) — Request information about which personal data we process about you.
Right to rectification (Art. 16) — Request correction of inaccurate data.
Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) (Art. 17) — Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18) — Request restriction under certain conditions.
Right to data portability (Art. 20) — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to object (Art. 21) — Object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3)) — Where we rely on your consent (the usage report you send from Settings › Your usage), withdraw it at any time with effect for the future; write to [email protected] and we delete the report.
To exercise your rights, contact: [email protected]. We will respond without undue delay, and in any event within one month (Art. 12(3) GDPR).
Your right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) — You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing of your personal data that we base on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (§§ 2–4, the diagnostics in §5, and §6). We will then stop, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. Write to [email protected].
No obligation, no automated decisions: You are not obliged to give us any personal data. Without the technical data in §2 the website cannot be shown; without a name and an email address we cannot answer your message. We make no decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR). Clarivio is meant for people aged 16 and over.
9. Right to lodge a complaint — Art. 77 GDPR
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority at any time. The competent authority for Bavaria (Freistaat Bayern) is:
You may also contact the supervisory authority of the EU or EEA country where you live or work or where the alleged infringement took place.
10. SSL/TLS encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS) for all connections. Encrypted connections prevent third parties from intercepting data transmitted between your browser and this website.
11. Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or data practices. The current version is always available via the footer links on clarivio.app.
This Privacy Policy is published in several languages with the same content. If the versions differ, the German version (clarivio.app/datenschutz) prevails.
Section 02 · Clarivio
Terms of Use
Last updated:
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
Clarivio is offered by Benedikt Kraus, Maximilian-Wetzger-Str. 7, 80636 München, Germany (“we”). These Terms apply to the Clarivio app on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac and to the website clarivio.app. They apply alongside Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which you accept when you get the app from the App Store. Apple’s own rights under the EULA remain unaffected. Between you and us, these Terms take precedence where they differ from the EULA; in particular, sections 11 and 13 apply instead of the EULA’s provisions on warranty, limitation of liability, governing law and jurisdiction. By using Clarivio, you agree to these Terms.
Apple is not a party to these Terms. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Clarivio and its content, for its maintenance and support, and for any claims relating to it — including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer-protection and privacy claims, and claims that Clarivio infringes third-party intellectual property. If Clarivio fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation for Clarivio. When using Clarivio, you must comply with applicable third-party terms (for example your mobile carrier’s). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
2. Who can use Clarivio
You must be at least 16 years old.
3. What Clarivio is
Clarivio is an app for journaling, reflection, goals, habits and personal health insights. What you create is stored on your devices and in your own iCloud account; we run no server that stores it. Clarivio needs iOS or iPadOS 26.4 or later (Apple Watch: watchOS 26.4 or later). On a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 26.4 or later, Clarivio runs as the iPad app. Parts written by AI need a device that supports Apple Intelligence and a language that Apple Intelligence supports (support.apple.com/121115 — currently not Arabic or Russian); otherwise, Clarivio uses fixed templates and search results instead. Texts written by AI — such as summaries, insights and answers — are generated automatically from your own entries and can be incomplete or wrong; check them before you rely on them.
4. Not medical advice
Clarivio is not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745. Health scores, readiness, trends and AI-written insights are for personal reflection. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. For health questions, consult a qualified professional.
5. Your license
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Clarivio on Apple devices that you own or control, within the usage rules of the EULA, for private and professional purposes. You may not sell, rent or sublicense the app, or decompile or reverse-engineer it except where the law permits.
6. Your content
Everything you create in Clarivio is yours. We do not receive your content and claim no rights to it. You are responsible for what you store and for keeping the copies you need; Clarivio can export your data at any time.
7. Acceptable use
Do not bypass the app’s protection (such as its PIN, Face ID or Touch ID lock, or its encryption), and do not use Clarivio to harass, threaten or impersonate others, or in any way that breaks the law.
8. Purchases
Clarivio Premium is sold by Apple through the App Store, as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in your currency before you confirm.
Free trial: new subscribers to the yearly plan get one month free; the monthly plan has no trial. The trial becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends; unused trial time ends when you buy a different plan.
Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges your account at purchase and at each renewal.
Cancelling: in your Apple Account’s subscription settings, or with Manage Subscription in Clarivio. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
Lifetime: one payment, never renewed, for the Apple Account that bought it. “Lifetime” and “Lifetime Access” mean for as long as we offer Clarivio (the lifetime of the product); use Restore Purchases on your other devices.
Apple handles purchases, billing, cancellations and refunds under Apple’s terms, including any right of withdrawal you have as a consumer; we never see your payment details. Refund requests: reportaproblem.apple.com. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
9. Availability and changes to the app
We work to keep Clarivio reliable but cannot promise that it always runs without interruption, and it depends on Apple services we do not control (iCloud, HealthKit, WeatherKit, Apple Intelligence). We may change Clarivio for a valid reason, namely to adapt it to new versions of iOS, iPadOS, watchOS or macOS or to changes in Apple’s services, to meet legal requirements, for security, or to improve it, at no extra cost to you. If a change impairs your access to Clarivio or its usability more than insignificantly, we will announce it in good time beforehand in the app under “What’s new”, in the App Store update notes and on clarivio.app, stating the change, its date and your right to end the contract under this section. You can then end the contract free of charge within 30 days of the change; a message to [email protected] is enough. To stop a subscription from renewing, also cancel it in your Apple Account (section 8). Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. If we ever stop offering Clarivio, we will announce it in the app in good time, and you can export your data.
10. Changes to these Terms
If we change these Terms, we will announce the change before it takes effect, in the app under “What’s new”, in the App Store update notes and on clarivio.app. Changes to the app itself are governed by section 9. A change to these Terms that affects your rights as an existing user applies to you only once you agree to it; if you do not agree, the previous Terms continue to apply, and you may stop using Clarivio at any time.
The statutory warranty rights apply. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under mandatory statutory liability — in particular under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) — and within any guarantee we have given. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an obligation that makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely (a material obligation), and then only for the typical damage that was foreseeable when the contract was concluded. Beyond this, our liability is excluded.
12. Ending use
You can stop using Clarivio at any time. Settings › Delete all data removes your records from your device and your iCloud before you uninstall. Subscriptions are cancelled through Apple, and refunds are requested from Apple, as described in section 8.
13. Governing law and courts
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live also apply, and you can bring claims before the courts there.
These Terms are published in several languages with the same content. If the versions differ, the German version (clarivio.app/nutzungsbedingungen) prevails; this does not limit any mandatory rule under which unclear terms are interpreted in your favor as a consumer.
14. Dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
15. If a provision is invalid
If any provision of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains valid, and the statutory provisions apply in its place.
